Is Precision Placements free to sign up?

Yes – signing up is completely free! There are no registration or monthly fees.

How does Precision Placements work?

How much do you charge to hire a locum nurse, hygienist, or dentist?

We charge a flat administration fee of £20.00 per day for each locum professional.

How much are the dental nurses paid?

Dental nurses start at £24.00 per hour.

How much are hygienists paid?

Hygienists set their own rate which will be visible to you via the platform when booking.

How much are dentists paid?

Dentists set their own rate which will be visible to you via the platform when booking.

All costs above exclude VAT at 20% unless specified otherwise.

Do you charge more for weekend bookings?

Our nurses are paid £42.00 per hour for weekend shifts because we believe in fairly rewarding our nurses for the additional commitment required to work outside of standard hours. Weekends often mean time away from family, friends, and personal commitments, so the enhanced rate ensures our nurses feel valued for the extra sacrifice. Importantly, this increase goes directly to our nurses - it's not a company markup. By doing this, we attract and retain highly skilled professionals who are motivated to provide the best possible care, even at times that are typically less desirable to work.

Can the practice choose which locum works at their practice?

Yes. After being matched with suitable staff based on your job criteria, you can choose to send the job offer to all matched locums or select specific individuals.

Can I post a job for multiple locums?

Yes – you can book multiple locums for the same day if required.

Are your dental staff fully qualified?

Yes. All dental staff on Precision Placements are fully qualified. Our compliance team verifies each locum's:

• - GDC Certificate
• - Indemnity Insurance
• - Hepatitis B Vaccination
• - Enhanced DBS Certificate
• - Right to Work and Digital Identity

Our system automatically deactivates any locum whose documents become non-compliant.

What happens if I cancel?

If a cancellation is made within 18 hours of the booking, the practice will be charged 100% of the hours agreed with the locum. This protects the locum from lost income for the day, however we do not charge our admin fee and the entire amount will be paid to the locum.

How do I pay for my booking?

Payment is processed via invoice following the booking. You'll receive details on how to pay once your account is active.

Can I check if you have a locum available before signing up?

Absolutely – you can contact us directly by phone or submit an enquiry using our request form. A member of our team will carry out a manual search based on your requirements. If we find a match, you'll need to complete the registration process to finalise the booking.
